Privacy & anonymous analytics

The Material Handbook asks before collecting analytics. If you allow it, a random browser identifier is stored on your device so we can distinguish first-time and returning use.

We record pages and material categories viewed, handbook searches, CAD/DXF downloads, manufacturer links clicked, approximate country/city, device type and referral source. We do not use advertising cookies, collect names or email addresses, or sell visitor-level data.

The data helps cloudy.works improve the handbook and may be used in aggregated reports for material manufacturers—for example, total views or click-throughs for a product range. Individual visitors are not identified in those reports.
